One of our fan-favorite cards just got a nice little bump in its sign up bonus to 100,000 UR points (up from 60,000 points) after $5k spend within 3 months of card approval.
This technically makes it the second best sign up bonus for the card, since a few years ago you could earn the same SUB for only $4k minimum spend. But hey, who are we to split hairs here, right?
In-Branch, Blog, or Personal Referrals
Prior to today, this offer was only available for you if you wanted to physically walk into a Chase branch, sit down with a banker, go through the whole sales shtick, and send in an application with them that way. The other way you could grab this offer was to use a blog’s affiliated link to apply for the card, and you could do that completely online. The downside to either of these options is that you (the customer) wouldn’t receive any kind of referral bonus from referring your p2.
That changed today!
As is the case with almost all of these big-time bonuses, they eventually get released to personal referral links a few weeks after they go live for the bank and bank partners. This isn’t always the case, but usually… So if you’ve been waiting to be able to refer your p2, generate your link and send it on over! Just make sure to follow our Sapphire Switcheroo guide to ensure you or p2 are actually eligible to get approved!
How to Generate your Own Referral Link
There are a couple different ways you can generate your own link to send to your friends and family, and both are pretty easy.
- Sign into your Chase online banking account, navigate to the specific card you want to refer, click the “More” dropdown, click the “Account Services” bullet, then the “Refer a Friend” link.
- This is my preferred way of doing it since it’s a bit quicker and easier. Simply head on over to the Referral Catch-All Website, enter in the last name on the card account, the zip code on account, and the last 4 digits of the card number and, voila! A shiny new referral link will pop up on the next screen. The cool thing about this option is that it includes a referral tracker, too, so you can see how many approved referrals you’ve had with your link.
