[EXPIRED] 2/26/2025

Unfortunately this one expired after less than a day of going live. We knew it was a ‘limited time offer’ and would likely be pulled after a set number of points were redeemed, but weren’t sure exactly what that magic number was going to be. Congratulations to everyone who was able to get in on this deal today!

Now here’s something you don’t see everyday!

JetBlue and CapitalOne offering up 5,000 bonus points for your first transfer between the two programs for any transfer amount.

h/t to DDG for alerting us to this one this morning

What You Need to Know

Capital One has become a major player in the transfer partners points and miles game the past couple of years, and their stable of partners is continuing to grow.

Their latest, JetBlue, was just announced this past week and there’s already a transfer bonus in place to give you an extra advantage for your next trip. The standard transfer rate isn’t necessarily the best out there, and Amex, Chase, and Citi all have better rates, but the current perk of 5,000 definitely tips the scales for the first transfer at least.

Capital One points are moving over to JetBlue at a rate of 1,000 points to 600 JetBlue miles. Not great, right? But this limited time offer makes that number quite a bit more enticing at 1,000 Capital One points to 5,600 JetBlue miles.

Not too bad!

How it Works

The steps to transfer your points and miles from a bank program to a travel partner are pretty much the same no matter where you’re moving them from:

  1. Sign into your bank online banking account,
  2. Navigate to the points and miles section,
  3. Select the transfer partner you’d like to send your points to,
  4. Enter the value and hit send!

What’s worth mentioning for the purposes of this promo, though, is that the points bonus appears to be on the JetBlue side of the equation, meaning it’s JetBlue who’s supplying the bonus points, not CapitalOne.

Typically we’d mention this because it would mean the bonus points would usually post up to your account hours, days, or even sometimes weeks later! Luckily, my own transfer today had my bonus points in my account instantly. No wait time at all, actually.

How refreshing.

As the day progressed and more and more people started testing this transfer, we did notice the wait times started to get a little longer, but still manageable at about an hour.

Getting to the Point(s)

There are always new, exciting, and creative ways to extract value out of your points and miles, and this one represents an extremely straightforward strategy that I think everyone should be taking advantage of.

For the absolute minimum transfer amount of Cap1 points, you can score about 6x the amount of airline miles on a partner with some pretty decent route options for those of us in the NorthEast.

We don’t recommend sleeping on this one for too long, however, as there was no end date announced, and the fine print does call this one a ‘limited time offer’.

Better act sooner vs later.
